About the Author of
Real-Life-Money -Management.com

Hello my name is Oscar Whitson

I do not have a degree in finance nor am I a licensed financial adviser.

I’m Just a common everyday person who was influenced early on in my life by the ideas of the late Larry Burkett, one of the greatest financial advisers of all time. Today, I’m influenced by the financial ideas of Dave Ramsey, which are very similar to Larry Burkett’s. Another good influence has been Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, a study that will enlighten anyone about how much you control your own financial destiny no matter what your circumstance. Another strong influence on my financial thinking has been my good friend Boo Nigley; you can ask me about Mr. Nigley later on as I have many interesting stories to share.

As for my financial situation:

I provide the sole income for my family of ten on a modest income.

My wife and I pay for our children’s private education rather than a free public education.

We have very little debt, mostly for our home. We invest and save money.

We donate and tithe to our faith.

We save for retirement. Our family from top to bottom is very happy. I often get asked, how do you do it?

Real Life Money Management is my attempt to share the answer to that question with the world. We do our best to manage our money and not let it manage us.

I talk to people all the time who:
Make more money.

Have two children or the 1.5 the world says we all should have.

Have a spouse that earns an income.

Take advantage of a free public education for their children.

Yet with all this they still don’t have enough money to save for retirement and are up to their ears in consumer debt. They struggle to make ends meet financially.

Statistics show that there are many individuals and families in this same sad financial situation. I hope, you, the visitors to my website, can get some ideas of how my money management techniques can improve your financial situation.
